George Washington The Father Of His Country Analysis

George Washington is the first president of the United States and he was called “the father of his country”. As same as Roger Williams, George Washington supports the religious freedom. According to the article, “…Washington refrained from endorsing any particular form of religion” (Chernow 52).
After reading this article, it was surprised that George Washington was so reluctant to accept this position. People always think a president is a confident person; however, George Washington had a very limited view of his own capabilities, so he was feared that he could not correspond his countrymen’s expectations. It was also impressed that he was the only unanimously elected president in the history. Washington had limited view of his capabilities, but the unanimous election proved that he had the capability to lead the country.
Unlike other politicians, George Washington prefers to do the presentation which is simple and succinct so that ordinary people are easy to understand.
