George Washington's Flaws

It was a unanimous vote that George Washington became the first president of the United States. Washington served from 1789 to 1797, thought-out this year’s Washington faced many challenges. From setting up the government to paying back the war debt. His first challenge was establishing the federal government authority. To which he set up a presidential cabinet that would help in decision making. Washington also passed the judiciary act of 1789 that established the U.S court system. Which consisted of six justices.
The debt was another big issue, the United States had just come out of the war. They owed 11.7 million to foreign creditors and 40.4 million to congress creditors. To state creditors, they owed 25 million, for a total of 77.1 million.
