IV. Conclusion
Paragraph 1 Recap (Evidence):
The purpose of our lab was to see if the amount paper towels would affect the germination of the seeds. My hypothesis was, if I increase the amount of paper towels, then the germination rate would increase too. We observed the petri dishes in class and we would add 2 ml of water in it every class. We observe and recorded data on the growth and development of the plants, the germination rate. …show more content…
It stated if you increase the amount of paper towels, then it would increase in the germination rate. The data proves this is wrong because with 0 paper towels, 15 seeds germinated on day two and only 14 germinated with 1 paper towel. That is a decrease in germination. Furthermore, the seeds all germinated for 2 and 3 paper towels on day 2. The germination rate was the constant for 0, 2, and 3 paper towels and also proves my hypothesis wrong.
The graph above shows my data. 2 paper towels was the control group and rate of germination was equivalent to two other trials. However, when observed closer, they didn’t seem as healthy. Furthermore, our data shows that one paper towel only ended up germinating 14 seeds. Meaning that the germination rate was lower than our control group.
Paragraph 2 Analysis (Discussion of Errors):
Something I found strange was that the more paper towels, the unhealthier the plants where. In the dish without paper towels, the plants were perfectly healthy and green. All the other dishes seemed to get
