The article,” Get the Name of the Dog”, by Justin Willett, shares a story about why interviewing is such an important skill in the first six paragraphs. Willett shares a story from when he was a young reporter, he overheard of an exchange with an editor and a reporter. There had been a dog at the event and the reporter thought it would be great to start a story on the dog and its owner. Next, the editor had asked if the reporter had gotten the dog’s name. The reporter didn’t catch the name of the dog, which was very important, and the editor got mad. This story comes to show that interviewing people is a tough skill.
