A Perspective of The Gettysburg Address
A proposition is used to per sway people in order to take action, or join a cause. President;
Abraham Lincoln, did not at all need to use persuasion in my opinion. Lincoln had a natural charisma, as well a pure and definitive prowess of what a worthy leader is. He immersed himself into the conflict of the civil war. Knowing full well, the sacrifices his men were making in the name of liberty. He uses these men and their act 's of …show more content…
I for one feel differently, writing in such a manner is difficult to say the least. Explaining so much in so little, is truly an example of a masterful command of literature.
That being said President Lincoln was a first had witness to the horrors of the civil war. He had the utmost respect, and gratitude for the soldiers that fought for freedom and liberty. The
Gettysburg Address; is not short because it is more simple to write less. Nor because the mind will hold its contents more easily. The Address is short because it is the truth, and the truth is in fact simple. Abraham Lincoln wrote and spoke this Address from his vary soul, Lincoln wrote this speech bearing first hand witness to the trials of war. President Lincoln whole heartedly understood the gravity of what those men sacrificed, their minds, bodies and families.
Correlation and thoughts . A small but circumstantial correlation with Frederick
Douglass 's work "Escape from Slavery." Douglass, F.(1838). Is The abolitionist movement to free the slaves. The direct correlation of the literature in my opinion is "Conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal."Lincoln, A. Gettysburg Address(1863).
