On the one hand text 1 requirements that refuse to learn foreign languages is like refusing to evolve in step with the rest of the world. In Text 3 Susan Purcell argues that termination of Britons are hopeless to language, because of the fact that few speak a foreign language, is a fallacy. In connection with this, her main argument is that while they are already fluent in English, it seems unclear to the Britons as a foreign language, they should learn (Text 3 ll.28-36): "But what about us here in the UK when it comes to choosing which language to teach first? ... which is the best language to learn? ... Will teaching young Mandarin Chinese improve their chances of finding a job in 10 years? Who knows? "

On one side, it is a very great value to master at least one foreign language; because we live in a world where international communication is everyday life. For example, almost everyone go on vacation once in a while today, and being in another country without a common language, it can be very hard to communicate. Moreover, it is important to speak a foreign language if you want to be successful in the labour market, because today almost all companies are doing business with the rest of the world. Overall, your life will be very limited and isolated if you do not speak any foreign languages.
