Glenn Maxwell

At just 24, Glenn Maxwell is one of the most promising cricketers in Australia’s vast stocks. Maxwell, a right-handed batsman and right arm off-break bowler who plays for Victoria in Australia's domestic cricket. He represents Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League.

Glenn Maxwell was born 14th October 1988 and raised in Kew, Melbourne. Maxwell used to play junior cricket as a child for South Belgrave CC. Glenn

I admire Glenn Maxwell because of his talent in cricket and his aggressive batting style at any position. He is a top run scorer and always does his team proud. He inspires me to be like him and become a good batsman like him. He is also great at judging slower balls and most commonly uses his ‘swivel slog sweep’ to send the ball deep into the stands.

Maxwell’s off spin bowling style and his wickets also inspire me to bowl like him. Maxwell has had one of the most wickets for his team in domestic cricket and has been recognized quickly.

Maxwell’s handy off-spin bowling, aggressive batting & delightful fielding puts him in the mould of a perfect all-rounder. Maxwell shot to fame in 2011 when he scored a record of a 19-ball half century to lead Victoria to an unlikely win against Tasmania. The Mumbai Indians must have liked what they saw from the all-rounder, after they forked out over $1,000,000 dollars for Maxwell at the IPL auction.
