In Glenn V. Brumby Glenn claimed that Brumby “discriminated against her because of her sex, including her female gender identity and her failure to conform to the sex stereotypes associated with the sex Defendant perceived her to be.”(Glenn Glenn V. Her second claim on Brumby “discriminated against her because for medical condition, GID,” because “receiving necessary treatment for the medical condition is an integral component of living with such a condition, and blocking treatment is a form of discrimination based on the underlying medical condition.” (Glenn, Glenn V. Brumby case). The meaning to this quote is that people are discriminating cause based on their gender. The way that the civil rights movement use boycotts was the Montgomery bus boycott (1955-1956). Montgomery Bus Boycott was one of the major event during the civil rights movement. Its was signed for a peaceful protest and could result of changing of people's rights regardless of race. On Dec 1,1955 a woman named Rosa Parks who was riding the bus from work to her home. She was sitting in the row that black people has to sit. When the bus was filling up the driver told the blacks to make room for the white people to sit and Rosa was sick and tired of being treated as a middle class and she refused to move and so she was arrested and fined and that’s how it all started. Other blacks was arrested similar as rosa was arrested. It’s was Rosa Parks arrested that spark other blacks to protest against segregation.
