Most people living with aids these days live in low and middle income countries and don’t have access to prevention or care. Aids not only affect people, it also affects households and communities and the development of nations. This source is a graph showing a global view of HIV infection all over the world in 2009. This graph shows the percentage of people in every country living with the HIV infection. The higher percentages, such as 15-28% were in countries that were less developed and living in poverty. East Asia and a lot of South America had little percentages, as they are more developed and able to get prevention against these diseases. In 2009, in the entire world, between 31.4 and 35.3 million people were living with HIV. As the more developed countries with more available money and more plans have been put into action, the number of people getting this disease has decreased.
