Nowadays, there is a global rape epidemic and there are just a few laws to prevent it. Sexual violence against women is a big issue in society because women’s human rights are being violated. It leads to too many health problems, for example, exposure to HIV and also to physical and mental problems. There are some countries who allow the rapist to get married with the victim in order to stay free and impunity from their crime. Government should stop this as soon as possible. Some national studies have shown that up to 70% of women have experienced either physical and/or sexual violence in their life-time. Because of this big issue they have therapies to help people attain safety from trauma/ post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and substance abuse have. The significance of this movement is to represent the best interests of abused and neglected children in the courtroom and other settings. A local solution in Yuma, Arizona have been helping and taking action of this global issue. CASA of Yuma County recruit volunteers which are appointed by judges to watch over and advocate for abused and neglected children, to make sure they do not get lost in the overburdened legal and social service system or languish in inappropriate group or foster homes.
