global volunteer experience in india
Last winter holiday,my friend went to India through aiesec. So I also apply for the global volunteer. The process was complex that I had a trail of things to do including several interviews,ep gathering, choosing region, applying for passport and visa, buying tickets. All these were done by myself which practices me a lot.I was excited about the journey but my parents were not,for the reports about india in china are only rapes. But the fact proved that india is absolutely safe.
I appreciate aiesec vizag very much. You provide us with a good platform to make friends that now I have many international friends from India,Turkey,Taiwan,Egypt,Russia and Kyrgyzstan.A good platform to learn what is the spirite of volunteer and devotion. You work hard that you almost spend all your spare time accompanying us everyday, taking us to restaurants to try varied indian food and party, museum, zoo, temple;walking on the beach;riding a motor;booking tickets for us;travelling in araku together; The intern house is memorable where you taught us indian songs and indian steps. .You invite us to your homes. You remember every intern’s birthday making a vedio then celebrating together at 0 o’clock to give them surprise.I was jealous that my birthday is not in July or August.A good platform to take part in NGO where the children are miserable. We played games with street kids in papa home.we gave them health speech and injection. We worked at the NGO which we lived in,where the kids are handicapped.I know I am so powerless to improve the condition of their living,But whenever they saw us,they felt happy, which is enough for them and us to let them know god doesn’t abandon them, education for them is to be a person who is good for society. And I learned that I don’t have qualification to complain about life compared to them.A good platform to address presentation in universities where indian students were enthusiastic and focused. On the process of preparing,I also had a better acquaintance with my own

The topic of my paper will be focusing in on how patients are treated in their non-native countries, the primary focus being on undocumented in the country. The two nations that will be looked at are the United States and Mexico. The reason I have chosen this topic was that I have some experience in this field and if I continue on the path I’d like to, there will be many more experiences surround this topic in my future. My personal experience which I feel that I can bring to the paper is the volunteering I have done at a free clinic. Many of the people who would come to us did not have US papers, and all of the patients we saw did not have medical insurance. In fact, there was a process to become a patient including a forty-five-minute visit.…

Carefully, with a shaky hand, I successfully inserted an insulin pump into my left thigh. I counted every carbohydrate I ate and timidly calculated my carbohydrate/insulin ratio. The liquid I was distributing throughout my body was not in fact insulin, but saline. Volunteering as a diet aide at Camp Carefree, a children’s summer camp for type one diabetics, gave me the opportunity to know what it felt like to step into these innocent children’s shoes.…

Learning, growing, and sharing—these three verbs, seemingly passive, have become some of the most active values in my life. With a naïve worldview shattered and my heart open to the needs of the world, I, as a seventh grade student, left Heifer International’s Ranch in Arkansas, after participating in an experiential education poverty simulation. I grew into the role of an enlightened global citizen with aspirations of acting on what I had learned about food security, poverty and the environment. Fast forward nearly a decade and I am sharing, living, working and acting on what I had learned with Heifer International in the role of Residential Education Volunteer at Heifer Farm in Rutland, Masachusetts. I have been able to delve deeper into topics of cultural exchange,…

Incredible India beckoned when I received an unexpected email more than a year ago from two classmates from Christian Medical College, Ludhiana. They were organizing a class reunion in a year’s time and wanted us to attend. I agreed as I had not been to India in all these years. Something which was organized seemed to be perfect for me. I emailed friends in USA and Germany and asked them to join in as well. Seng Hee said that as long as he was alive, he would be there. Karnail too agreed so that made all of us in Malaysia agreeing to the reunion.…

The weather of summers in Guangdong Province is always hot full of rain, which always make a person feel annoyed and unfriendly. This summer holiday, I went to a remote village at the top of a mountain, of innumerable mountains in Guizhou Province and spent seventeen days there as a volunteer teacher in a volunteer team. The seventeen-day time there was pretty fantastic. I could enjoy 24-hour cool breeze and warm sun light in that beautiful village. I could drink sweaty water and ate delicious food cooked by ourselves in that beautiful village. And most importantly, I could meet friendly villager and lovely, brave and hopeful children in that beautiful village. This is an important and unforgettable experience in my life.…

    My Experience from India

The one foreign country I have been to is India, and it has changed the person I am today very drastically. The last time I visited India was April 2011, and that is when I realized most of the things I did, and it helped me change my outlook on a lot of things. For example, it gave me a completely different perspective on poverty, which is something they have a lot of in India. Living in Canada, I have not seen much of poverty, but after seeing the substantial number of people going through it in India, it made me realize how fortunate we are to be living in a country where it isn’t as big of an issue. Another immense issue in India is the absurd amount of pollution, which is still a growing problem. It is because of the rapidly growing population, which is putting a strain on the environment, infrastructure, and the country’s natural resources. Another unbelievable issue in India is the unemployment, as India is the second largest in population; it also has a larger number of unemployed people. The leading reason for unemployment is again, the increasing number in the population. Also many companies make workers, work for long hours or even overtime instead of hiring new employees. This way they try to save money. The very valuable lesson I learned from all this is, that I am extremely fortunate to be able to live in such an amazing country where we do not have to face these massive issues in our community, environment, or society. It really opened my eyes, to realize to never take anything for granted because I would much rather be living in Canada than anywhere else in the world, and I am very thankful for it. I also know that I wouldn’t have ever been able to realize any of these things unless I would have visited India for myself. That is what I gained through traveling to India, and this is how it changed me as a…
