Global Warming
What are people doing to reduce global warming around the world? There are lots of questions that people don’t know about global warming. Global warming has become the big issue for environmental reasons. Corporations and individuals around the world are discussing the dangers of global warming. They are trying to find out ways to fix this problem and come up with a good solution. Global warming has become the most difficult problem that is facing the leaders in this world. Global warming has gotten the attention of many people worldwide. The government and corporations have debated and talked on these actions. This might be the biggest of any other environmental issue in history. The effect of global warming the environment because of rising heat temperatures and pollution. The effects of global warming create a growing danger for the ecosystem we live in by damaging glaciers, animals, and the environment.
The Rising heat temperatures affect the nature of the oceans by harming the food chain and making it unbalanced. As the heat temperatures rise, the water becomes less dense and separates from a nutrient-filled cold layer below. That will destroy the food chain that and will affect all marine life for survival. A large amount of plants and animals in our oceans need both the right temperature and balance in order to live. When there is plenty of phytoplankton, the color of the water shifts from blue to green. These marine animals remove carbon dioxide and convert it to carbon. (Downside) This makes up for almost half of the Earth 's photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is a process that removes carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and converts it into carbon to oxygen that feeds almost in every ecosystem. Phytoplankton was dropped down by 190 million tons of carbon each year. Animals that need the right temperature, like Phytoplankton, have started their yearly growth cycle earlier in the season cause of the

The sky is falling, the sky is falling! Growing up I heard this phrase in folktales as a “wolf cry”-- a cry that is so ridiculous that nobody would believe it. Now that global warming is a major environmental issue, the saying doesn’t sound so out of place. Most people might say: what is global warming? That’s the question that was running through my mind when I first heard we were watching a documentary on it in my English 130 class. The film is Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth and it is about the causes of global warming and what it is doing to our planet. Being an environmentally involved citizen and growing up with conservative Republicans as parents, I was torn between not really liking Gore and this extreme reality that I felt was an impending doom on Mother Earth. The day before my writing class my dad called me and I brought up the fact that I was watching Gore’s film; his reaction was, “I’m paying for you to do that?” I tried to tell him it wasn’t about Gore and when I brought up global warming he claimed it was a scheme to get money and that our wor...…

In the last century, the sea level has rose for about 17 centimetres. The rate in the last decade is however, nearly the double of last century. Major global surface reconstructions also showed that the Earth has warmed since 1880 and it’s still going on. Oceans are also warming up, due to the heat. Not only that, the Greenland and Antarctic ice sheets are melting, glaciers are disappearing and extreme weather events have occurred more often. All these phenomena are the evidence of the fact that the Earth is warming up, they are the cause of global warming. Many scientists and researchers are trying to find a way to reduce the heat that the Earth absorbs. But in order to do that, they need to answer one question: What is the main cause of global warming. Is it we, humans, or is it the sun that causes it? Many debates are being held about this topic. Not only that, even documentaries were made about it, like The Great Global Warming Swindle and The inconvenient truth. But still, no one knows whether we, humans, causes global warming or the sun.…

Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of Earth’s surface. Since the late 1800’s, the global average temperature has increased about 0.7 to 1.4 degrees F (0.4 to 0.8degree C). Climate change is happening and its effects are real. However, the larger the change in climate, the more negative the consequences will become. Global warming will make life harder for most people .When the carbon-dioxide level doubles, the temperature will go up by 5 degree Celsius. It would lead to melting of polar ice caps, rise in sea level and there would be dramatic changes in the map of the world. Global warming has been experienced all over the world. In U.S.,average temperatures have been rising because of climate change. As a result, the growing season has lengthened; tree has been sucking more carbon. Global warming is the biggest and most serious problem faced by us today.…

There are also other factors causing this too; humans aren’t the only ones causing this. According to NASA, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which is a group of 1,300 scientists from all over the world reported that there is a staggering 95 percent chance that our planet has become warmer. Mostly due to increased human activities. Since we have become so industrialized; the waste product, CO2, has increased significantly. According to NASA, CO2 levels have increased from 280 parts per million to 400 parts per million. Another contributing factor are the polar ice caps and glaciers melting; they have trapped CO2 in them, and when they melt that trapped CO2 is released out into the atmosphere too. This is a chain reaction of humans being more industrialized. Some other greenhouse gases that effect the warming of Earth include methane and nitrous oxide. Before the Earth started to go through climate change; when the Earth got hot during the day it would always cool down by night enough. But with greenhouse gases they insulate the heat and they just get trapped in the Earth’s atmosphere, and the Earth doesn’t cool down as much as it did perviously. Since the polar ice caps and glaciers are melting which is leading to sea levels rising. Since the sea levels are rising they are starting to take some of the costal areas of some countries. I’ve witnessed this myself as a kid. When I…

The warming of the earth is one the biggest problems facing our nation and world today, and regardless of whether we agree or not on the causes of global warming there is an overwhelming consensus that the planet is warming. The causes of global warming are frequently debated between politicians and pundits on the news, however the overall scientific community have come to an agreement regarding those causes as well as the inherit dangers of global warming for life on Earth. To minimize damage to the environment and reverse the negative effects that mankind has had on the environment during our modern history, many governments have implemented renewable and green energies to generate power.…

Global warming is the observed increase in the average temperature of the Earth's atmosphere and oceans in recent decades and its projected continuation. In principle, global warming is neutral as to the period or causes, but in both common and scientific usage the term generally refers to recent warming and implies a human influence. Most of the observed increase in globally averaged temperatures since the mid-20th century is very likely due to the observed increase in anthropogenic greenhouse gas concentrations, which leads to warming of the surface and lower atmosphere by increasing the greenhouse effect caused by gases which are released by activities such as the burning of fossil fuels, land clearing, and agriculture. The predicted effects of global warming for the environment and for human life are numerous and varied. The main effect is an increasing global average temperature. From this flow a variety of resulting effects, namely, rising sea levels, altered patterns of agriculture, increased extreme weather events, and the expansion of the range of tropical diseases. In some cases, the effects may already be occurring, although it is generally difficult to attribute specific natural phenomena to long-term global warming. Examples of projected climate changes include, significant slowing of the ocean circulation that transports warm water to the North Atlantic, large reductions in the Greenland and West Antarctic Ice Sheets, accelerated global warming due to carbon cycle feedbacks in the terrestrial biosphere, and releases of terrestrial carbon from permafrost regions and methane from hydrates in coastal sediments.…
