Background on Global Warming According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Global
Warming in one of the most debated topics ever. A reporter from the New York Times states the this issue is one of the most complicated that our world leaders face. The scientific community is warning us louder and louder about the dangers of Global Warming. Man- made greenhouse gasses caused by burning fossils fuels and forests is largely to blame. There are though many economic, technological, and political issues that must be resolved before a world wide effort can be made to solve this problem, and this will prove difficult in these times of economic downturn. Now according to EPA.gov people prefer to use the phrase ‘climate change’ as opposed to Global Warming because it says more about the changes to the environment as well as rising temperatures. The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) says that our lives will improve by solving Global Warming by not only cleaning up air pollution but also by investing in clean energy technology and green jobs as well as smart energy solutions that will help get the economy moving again.
Arguments for the topic (truth, facts?) NOAA states that the our climate has both cooled and warmed depending on the area.
