Globalization of Hospitality

Introduction According to the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy, globalization is covering a wide range of distinct political, economic, and cultural trends (Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy,). Globalization has enabled businesses to tremendously expand and for the most part, consumers find great satisfaction in globalization. Industries like the hospitality industry find successes in the global markets that are unheard of traditionally. Businesses such as Subway, McDonalds, and Wal-Mart are prime examples of global businesses experiencing much success. Understanding exactly what globalization is and how globalization has impacted the hospitality industry in both positive and negative ways and consumer contributions to the success of the industry. Even with the ups and downs of the economy, the hospitality has been able to maintain and globalization has a great deal to do with this. All of this is included as the subtopics globalization; the main topic of discussion.
Globalization
Globalization has improved individual lives and has definitely impacted businesses in the same manner. Globalization brings together diverse groups of individuals and businesses while it teaches each how to work with, for, and causes trust to unleash. Just as there are positive impacts and outcomes of globalization, negativity has its course. Speaking on the positive side for the impact on the business world, hospitality in particular, the hospitality industry has globalized and doors have opened that allow continuous growth and success to be obtained and maintained. The thought of conducting local business only has escaped the business minds of most. Crossing the borders and expanding beyond domestic territories is what globalization is all about.
