I am Victoria Marie reporting to you with the great, glorious, Gloria Swanson. I'm interviewing her today to give you an inside look into this superstar's life! Many of you have wrote in a lot of questions and I'm here to get them answered for you! Before we start the interview, for those of you who haven't heard about Gloria's achievements on the silver screen, she first starred in "The Fable Of Elvira and Farina and the Meal". A: I received my education in many different schools. Throughout my education I attended schools in Chicago; Key West, Florida; and San Juan, Puerto Rico. These multiple schools helped me learn many things I use in my career today. Q: What did you do before you got famous? A: I worked as a sales clerk in a small department store. Q: When did you get interested in the movie business? A: I got interested when my Aunt and myself went back to Chicago when I was 18, to see how silent movies were made. This fascinated me greatly and I knew then that I wanted to be part of this new movement! Q: Something happened at the set didn't it? What happened there Gloria? A: I Was picked from the crowd on random because of my young age and beauty to star as an extra in the 1915 movie "The Fable Of Elvira and Farina and the Meal" this is where I got my …show more content…
Q: And after this? Where did you go from there? A: After my role in that i got more known in my role in "Sweedie Goes to College". This was also in 1915, slowly i was more recognizable. Q: In your next feature you met your future hubby right? A: Yes i did. I met Wallace Beery in 1916 we uprooted from Chicago and moved to Los Angeles. Once there Hollywood swallowed me and i starred in many films like "The Pullman Bride" in 1917, "Shifting Sands" which played in 1918 and "Don't Change Your Husband" in 1919 but I did just that, by the time "Don't Change Your Husband" was playing I had divorced Wallace and remarried. Q: With all these movies you must have been rich? A: Why yes, in the 1920's I was the most paid actress. I spent about $8 million over that decade. With my vase fan base and my personal life being on every newspaper and magazine in the states i was well known by many. Q: How did you adapt to the sound revolution? A: I adapted very well actually in 1928 I starred in my first talking film "Sadie Thompson" and I got nominated for an Oscar award for my role in this. Sadly I lost to Mary
