One of the only problems I had with the GO-GO Ultra X was its maximum travel distance - it can only drive for 8 miles on one charge. That’s a shame, since it’s otherwise so mobile and maneuverable, you’d think the manufacturers would want to take advantage of that as much as possible.
Final Verdict
The slower speed and shorter battery duration means that this scooter is best suited for short-range travel indoors or to the store. But when this scooter is in its element, it’s an absolute wonder. It wasn’t designed for everyone in mind, but if you only have short distances and you have a house full of furniture and obstacles, don’t spare a single expense - the GO-GO Ultra X is the mobile scooter for you!

This scooter is best for smaller folks who need value, and they’re willing to give up some of the more luxurious perks (such as that wonderful seat cushion!) in order to bring down an easier price. Overall, it still has the top-notch efficiency, maneuverability, and the light weight I found in the Ultra X.
What we liked about it
I was delighted by how easily the Spitfire SE was able to cut through the corners in my house. I knew this was one of the two cheapest models, so I was worried and didn’t know what to expect.
This scooter is small and fun - it was easily able to support my 175-pound frame. If you’re any larger, though, I’d suggest looking for a larger model. The Spitfire SE actually runs faster than the GO-GO Ultra X, even faster than all the other scooters I tried out.
The most impressive aspect of the Spitfire SE was the maneuverability. Sharp turns were not a problem, whether I navigated through the house or out in the store. I also found this scooter to be almost as quick and easy to assemble and disassemble as the GO-GO Ultra X. It wasn’t possible to perform all the assembly with just one hand, but it was faster than all others except the Ultra X once I got the hang of …show more content…
I suggest that if you were highly interested in the GO-GO Ultra X, but lost a few years of your life when you saw the pricetag, the Spitfire SE is the economic alternative. Perhaps I’m being unfair with my expectations for the Spitfire SE, considering the awesome value I purchased it for.
Shoprider Echo
While it’s significantly slower than the Spitfire SE, the Shoprider Echo is lighter, retains a similar carrying capacity and beats it out on battery life. It also has the same price tag as the Spitfire SE, making it the most economic model on the list - depending how you look at it. More on that to follow.
The difference between this one and the Spitfire is this - the Spitfire is the economic mobile scooter for indoor travel, but the Shoprider is the economic mobile scooter for outdoor travel. This scooter is the value option for folks who have to drive farther distances and a very long itinerary. Does it sacrifice too many features in order to provide the most economic option for outdoor travellers? Overall, no.
