Goals and Achievements Essay
Hannah Aste’s Scholarship Essay
Goals and Achievements It has been nice to grow up in a small town in the same house for the past twenty-two years. I have enjoyed the opportunities that our family has been blessed with. I have one brother who is eight and a half years older than I. He is married with two children. Growing up, it was especially nice to have cousins close to me in age and proximity. I love my family and friends, and enjoy every minute I have with them. Along with biological family members, I have cultivated relationships with friends at school and church, as well as within the community. I still have several relationships today that remain from long ago and feel like extended family. Some of those relationships were cultivated from Kindergarten to twelfth grade as I attended three different schools in the surrounding area. I have attended the same church since I was a baby, and continue to work and volunteer there to this day. I graduated from Resurrection Christian School (RCS) in 2010 with a class of thirty-five. I took the first year off to be an intern at an orphanage in Belize, work and decide what I wanted to do with my life. In fall 2011, I began my college education at Front Range Community College (FRCC). I studied there for about two years earning my Associate of Arts degree. Now I am a junior attending Colorado Christian University (CCU) enrolled in the Elementary Education program.
My main goal right now is to graduate from Colorado Christian University with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education. I love children and have always had a passion to teach children of all ages. When I was eleven I had my first babysitting job, which I loved. At age twelve, I began doing childcare at my church during meetings and special services. I continued babysitting and childcare until I graduated from high school. At age seventeen, I became one of the Children’s Church teachers, and continue to do so today. I was a Middle School

Completing the “Achieving Project Goals Simulation” changed my perception as well as helped me understand exactly what project management and how important it is to execute all the areas of project management effectively. By reviewing this simulation one can realize how project management is very helpful in everyday life and can also change one’s point of view on project management. There are three crucial elements to follow in project management, these are time, scope and cost and are known as the “Triple Constraint” or “Triple Constraint triangle (Kerzner, 2006).…

My career goal is to be a qualified early childhood education teacher. I chose this career path because I have always had an interest in children, and the way they develop: physically, intellectually, socially and emotionally, while being in an intimate multicultural environment. The abundance of knowledge children gain in the first five years of life is remarkable; it is…

My professional goal is to become a teacher with hard work and dedication I know I can reach my lifetime goal. For my extra-curricular activities, I have attended the Head Start at Brookhaven Community College where I have volunteered over thirty hours in a semester to get myself prepared for the profession. Going to the local Head Start gave me the opportunity to see if this is really what I want to do for many years. I put myself in a position where I actually enjoyed what I was doing, I had patience which a lot of people don’t have to teach younger kids. I worked with three to five years old, I had to show them I was the leader. In my four years of High School, I have taken my time out to be a leader in my school. I was vice-president freshman…

There are many types of goals. Growing up, I always dreamed of being two things: a mother and a nurse. I am blessed to have two wonderful children ages 14 and 16 and have had the privilege of being able to be a stay-at-home mom during their younger years. Now that they are older and a bit more independent, I have decided to go back to school and fulfill my goal of earning my degree in Nursing. Throughout the years of growing and maturing, I have learned how important it is to have good morals, values, goals, a passion for something, and a good education. I have not only taught my children the importance of these characteristics, but I have also shown them that regardless of one’s age or stage in life, that…

Most people measure success monetarily. We spend the majority of our lives working towards success (“Defining success”). The word “success” is defined in the Merriam Webster dictionary as the attainment of wealth, favor, or eminence. Individuals who would be considered successful in this generation are Kim Kardashian or even Justin Bieber. These celebrities simply live in the moment, without thinking about what their goals are. Everyone wants to be known for something. Success takes several different forms but because of societal issues we have lost sight of its true definition. To be successful is to have a purpose, to know where you're at, to know where you're going and to not be afraid to work for it.…

    Merit And Success Essay

I believe in people who immigrate to America; they have the same dream-“American Dream.” The people who have the “American Dream” surely believe the U.S has meritocracy, which means they aware that there are plenty of opportunities to be successful in America if ones have good work ethic, put in their full effort to their careers, have an open-mind set, and willingly catch up with the newest technology, they can be successful. Unfortunately many people still stubbornly think success is mostly not due to merit, instead believe these elements such as luck, wealth, family background, or even races. Overall, I never see anyone who is lazy, laid-back and careless can be successful, but I do see people who work hard,…

I’m attending Monterey Peninsula college on a short-term basis Until I transfer to a four year university. Education in my family has never been an option and I have always been pushed to further my education. I myself value my education because it will enhance my knowledge of whatever career I decide to pursue. Learning in general to me has always been important, I love discovering things I’ve never been introduced to or heard of before. Like Dr. Seuss once said, “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go”. I chose to attend MPC to explore my options and figure out what career I want to pursue. One of my short-term education goals is to get good grades in all of my classes this semester (my first semester of college) and to create my ideal career plan. A long-term goal of mine is to complete all of my…

The media and today's society have brainwashed the citizens of the world to believe the deceit that in order to be successful you need to have the largest house, newest car, clothes, five star dining, and to travel every other month. This is how success is defined, this is what many aim for. But it is not however how I was raised, my mom taught me that the definition of success, similar to life is in the eye of the beholder, and most importantly success should be a synonym for a person's happiness. You can drive a Bentley and live in a million dollar, but you're not truly successful you love what you do, and love accomplishing your goals more than receiving the award.…
