Both of these characteristics are repeatedly seen in J.K. Rowling's Goblet of Fire with the character of Barty Crouch Jr. He is often seen as one of Lord Voldemort’s most loyal “death eaters”; he goes great lengths to ensure his role in the uprising. In the book Barty Crouch impersonates Alastor Moody, thus showing his unstable personality. In the book Alastor Moody is portrayed as sticking out his tongue repeatedly. Barty may have started to develop borderline personality disorder from the way his father treated his mother. This created a harsh environment for him and eventually led him to Lord Voldemort and his father's murder. Indivisible (see figure 1, “Indivisible”) by Clint Carney was meant to represent the inner fight and constant conflict that personality disorders demonstrate. The art depicts a woman fighting herself for an unknown reason to the person seeing the art. She is most likely battling borderline personality disorder. People with this disorder are usually unstable and have abrupt and extreme mood changes. This is evident in the art because she is struggling to escape from her own thoughts and emotions. She is struggling with her self image, along with possible anger and depression. Schizophrenic personality disorder can cause delusions and loss of personality, it affects how a person thinks, acts, and feels.
