Goggles Monologue

Title: Importance of goggles me- freaked out, surprised, disgusted cousin- laughing, funny, teasing plot points
Characters: Me, my two cousins, mom and aunt
Setting: America, connecticut, swimming pool
My reaction: disgusted, gross, half surprised half laughing
Purpose: to tell people to make sure to always take a goggle when swimming and don’t be lazy to do that
The one of the most funniest moment in my life

I look out the window and notice the fog covering the view of my cousin’s backyard. It was the day after a huge tornado of rain and wind had gone through my cousin’s house. The weather outside was chilly from the rain yesterday but still warm enough to be summer. I stood up from the bed, my legs screaming for help

We were all sucked dry from the sun that day with zero energy left, we scavenged what we could and we still ate better than we could have at any local dinner. The day was still long and was only going to get hotter and longer even as the day came to a close. There was more things to do around the land than there was at any theme park. So as we all sat around and waited for something to do you could tell that everyone was thinking the same thing as sweat poured down all of our faces. The cold spring fed creek was the only thing that was going through my mind and I knew that was the only thing going through anyone else’s. We walked down to the creek as there was no other way that you could reach it, and as we got closer and closer you could hear the light eco of the fifteen foot waterfall coming off of the trees. The only thing I was looking for was the spit of the water flowing up through the large oak and misquote tree branches. You knew when everyone saw the water, you could see the sight of the crystal clear water shining off of everyones eyes and you could tell that there was a sudden sign of relief that came upon everyone after the long walk through the large misquote trees avoiding as many thorns and cactuses as they possibly could, being careful as could be you weren't going to miss all of them. And there was no better feeling than soaking your wounds in that…

I pulled my beanie securely on my head as I crouched down on a sturdy tree branch. My hunting knife reflected the dim light of the moon. It glinted letting my prey know I was there. "Yeah, I love a good chase!" I jumped from branch to branch as I chase my target. His brown hair was starting to gray but he ran pretty good for someone in their late forties. At least that's what boss lady said. I jumped down quietly as the man began to get tired. He began huffing as his pace slowed. I knocked into his back sending him into a tree. His chest heavily moved with his ragged breaths. I slowly approached him as I pulled my hunting knife back out. "Let play," I said in a deadpan tone. My eyes lost their light as I stared down at him.…

As soon as she pulled onto the highway, the lightning flashed across the sky and she knew it would start raining soon. Ruth was unfamiliar with the curvy roads, and slowed down when the rain started forming a lake on the road in front of her, making it difficult for her to see the lines on the highway. Dark clouds hung slightly above the road and the sounds of rain beating against the car bothered her. “Perhaps I shouldn’t have chosen this day to ghost hunting,” she said as the inside windows fogged over, turning on the defroster she calmed down and sang along with the radio.…

Today, as the rain was tapping on my window, I stared out at the storm clouds casting shadows onto the long green fields of spring. Tornado Narrative

I think to myself that our families life could end really soon. But hoped that we will survive this terrible storm. We waited in the back of the room and heard the immense thunder and lightning. The lights flickered twice then go off. I was very scared when that happened because when I was younger, I was terribly afraid of the dark. But, I can feel my mom's hand on mine to comfort me through the dark. We sat in complete darkness for a while, then the owner turned on two flashlights, and gave one to my mom. A few minutes later, the lights came back on and we went back to the front of the store to see if the storm had stopped. It seemed like it did, so we thanked the man that let us in the store and left. As we got back onto the highway, everything was demolished. We could see the roots from the trees as they were uprooted, houses had gaping holes in them with trees sticking out. “This is the emergency broadcasting system, a tornado has just passed through the county and it is now ok to come out of your homes, but be at caution and watch for big tree branches,” the man over the radio said. We make it to the hotel about an hour later, and it seemed like the town had not been touched by the tornado or the storm. My brother’s coach says to our family, “Where have you been Alex? You're…
