Going Back to School

Have you ever wonder why a person chooses to go back to school? There are many reasons why a person chooses to go back to school, but I chose because of my family and friends who motivate me to do better for myself. In this paper, I will share my world and the people who motivate me. I will also share with you my plans for a better future and the goals that I will need to be completed in order to succeed. On a beautiful baby girl was born in the city of Sacramento, California. At the age of seven my parents had another little girl named Jessica (my middle sister). Shortly after my sister was born my parents separated. At the age of 13 my family was blessed with another baby girl, Alyssa. By this time I was in middle school and I have already been helping my mom take care of my middle sister Jessica, now I had the responsibility of taking care of two children at a very young age. Since my mother was a single parent working two jobs and going to school, I became the second parent as my sisters and I grew up; while my mom spent all her time to provide us with a better household. My family and I come from a town called Sacramento, California also known as Sac. In Sac the school systems are not the best, I struggled from elementary to high school to pass my grades. Throughout school I was placed in a number of classes to help with the areas I struggled with, but for these classes did not work. I feel once a child is struggling with school they did not like going. Junior and senior year was a turning point for me, glad to say I graduated with a 3.0. The year of 2002 I obtained my first job, in high school there was a class called work experience. This class allowed students to received elective credits; I worked for a Dermatologist office and started out as their file clerk. One year later I was promoted to Insurance verifications, and than six months doing that same job but also check out. After a while I then became check in and multiple responsibilities. Unfortunaly seven years later due to the economy, my job had to let me go due to downsizing. The career I choose to succeed in is business, once I have some experience I would love to become a business manager. Once I become a manager of a business it will and can help me understand what running a business is like. My dream job is to own a restaurant / lounge; I often sit and ponder on how my place of business will look, I even have a location where I would like to set up. Every time I pass the location my creative juices start flowing and it’s as if the business was up and running. After I have my career of choice set up and running, I figure it will be time to settle down and start a family. Unlike I was raised I want the best for my children, although responsibility is a great trait to learn I’d rather have my children learn about it differently. Now a day’s having children can be expensive, this is why I plan on being financially stable before having any children of my own. I want the best for my children and I want their future to be brighter than mine was. Family, friends and the start of new beginnings is what makes me want to go back to school. Sometimes life will bring you down but there is always family and friends to pick you back up. Lots of people have their motivation to keep them going, what’s yours?
