Going Beyond Limits
Psalms 37:4 - Delight thyself also into the LORD; and he shall give the desires of your heart.
Go Beyond My Limits Am I a loner? Or should I better say I am a happy person? These two questions remind me how to explore many things in my life which it has many path along my journey. By writing this reflection, I can now realize that I must have faith in God and must have courageous identity to have an expedition along the way in my own path. Families, friends and my classmates as well, are one of my strengths in achieving my goals to become RMT and I guess this will be the goal of all MLS student, right? Thus, it encourages me to go beyond limits by protecting, sharing and loving in a joyful manner. Tik-tok-tik-tok, it was already 6 am in the morning and its Monday time, the day where the students will go to school in a respective areas and YES! I am now ready as one of the students of the University of the Immaculate Conception with the MLS (Medical Laboratory Science) program. Mixed emotions I felt; scared, happy and blessed. “Why I am scared? Because as a college student you must have to work with your own and build a new environment and at the same time you will encounter different attitudes. Yes! Happy  because at last, I am now a college student which is the day I have been waiting for, for a long journey of my high school days. Blessed? Because, everyone knows not all people are granted to enroll in this kind of institution In fact, I am guilty about this.” The day goes on and on until the end of the journey of my college life and soon it will be happened. We people have limitations but we should go beyond of it. I am David Sheen G. Deligero a freshmen student of UIC says we have to go beyond our limits as long as it’s good and acceptable. Specifically to my classmates because we are just 1st year and we have more years to travel along with our journey and finish this course and to become RMT. Are we proud

I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth (Psalm 34:11). When I think about that passage it reminds me of my childhood. Growing up in the house of the Lord gave me an insight of how the afterlife would be when I parish from this earth. The way I was taught about the Bible gave me a better understanding of the goodness of the Lord. This has helped me in my life to be more giving to others and to cherish family.…

Today is perhaps one of the most important days of my life. It is the day I take my placement exam that determines which major you will be put into at the higher learning institution. Shakily I finish getting dressed for the day, I am adorned in a pair of navy pants and a grey button up with the number 84 on the cuff. Each year the society gives a number to every child born. I was the 84th child of the year so that is the number I was assigned, many of my other classmates have number ranging from 20 to over 200. I slip out of my room and jog to the end of my hall barely catching the last lift to the 97th floor where the test is administered. Not everyone gets invited to secondary school, for 75% of the world primary is the end, they didn’t pass, and would be taught trade jobs with little opportunity for advancement. Due to this pressure of the test looms over me and the memory of leaving my mother and family take over my mind almost daily.…

It was tearing apart my world taking this big step I wasn’t ready for, but I had gotten that far, so I held my breath and jumped. In human existence, a question commonly asked is, "Who am I?" This question is the heart of the quest for the Self. This is a quest which may take a lifetime, sometimes longer, to fulfill. One path, of self-discovery, is when people turn to their surroundings in their search. In turning to their surroundings, people are able to see their Selves by the things around them. In observing the surroundings, people may, not only, find their Selves, but establish their Selves. This path, however, is not the only way people search for the Self. Another path is when people turn to something higher than themselves for answers. This path is lined with the hope the answers can be given by the, "something higher." These two paths represent two preceding forces in people's search for the Self.…

The term "journey of self-discovery" refers to a travel, pilgrimage,[1] or series of events whereby a person attempts to determine how they feel, personally, about spiritual issues [2] or priorities,[3][4] rather than following the opinions of family, friends, neighborhood[5] or peer pressure. The topic of self-discovery has been associated with Zen.[6] A related term is "finding oneself".Awareness is the first step in the creation process. As you grow in self awareness you will better understand why you feel what you feel and why you behave as you behave. That understanding then gives you the opportunity and freedom to change those things you’d like to change about yourself and create the life you want. Without knowing who you are, self acceptance and change become impossible.…

After the speeches students from each class lined up in the auditorium. Many of us waited eagerly for our turn to go the main stage to receive our diplomas from the dean. We were more than two hundred but I was waiting patiently. Of course I was very excited. Soon after that, it was my turn. How can I describe that feeling you have been waiting for so long? As I heard my name, I stood up, walked to the stage and the dean handed my diploma after shaking each other's hands. A second later I heard the applause and the unforgettable moment of feeling proud, that yes, I did it! It was an amazing feeling to stay there in front of everyone, especially in front of your family, your loved ones and see the joy in their eyes. In that seconds and on the way back to my seat I recalled a lot of memories from the last five years. All the positive and negative aspects of being a student came to my mind like the hard exams or the fun time with…
