Many residents who lived nearby the sanctuary reported that last Thursday, dozens of them flew out an open window and flew off. Many have pointed the blame to the staff member at the sanctuary for leaving the window open. Although they're not dangerous, fatal …show more content…
consequences will happen if the Snidgets that are in the wild come to harm.
Because of their known niche to be a part of Quidditch teams, many Ministry officials have intercepted Quidditch games throughout England to check for the bird creatures. No Snidgets have yet to be found at the games, which either means that the birds didn't go there or the employees were certainly not Seeker types.
What makes the Golden Snidget such a valuable creature, despite it's historic value, is its golden scales that make it appear plastic.
The Snidgets are normally kept in an environment where they'll feel calm enough to not fly around so fast since their scales can easily come off, however, out in the wild they'll most likely be flying fast enough that their scales could possibly come off.
Along with a group of Aurors to search for the missing Snidgets, the Ministry has also sent out a golden scale collecting team to ensure that they don't lose thousands and thousands of galleons worth of golden scales. Each scale from a Golden Snidget is rumored to be worth 100 galleons each. It's a bit odd how a whole team of about a dozen people were sent to collect tiny scales, but it might be worth it. So far, they've only collected three scales that were found in Diagon Alley, Godric's Hallow, and in a tiny village near Hogsmeade.
Although The Golden Snidgets are fun and adorable little creatures, they're far to valuable to be out in the wild and are unsuitable for pets. If you see any sign of a golden scale, a Golden Snitch like creature flying about, or if you have any information about where one went, contact the Ministry by sending in your owl. Keep a sharp
eye.
