Good fellas
The movie “goodfellas’’ was a dramatically movie based off of the real life of an Ex-gangster. Who was hired by a wise guy as a teen, and grew up to become a gangster. He tells his story from the he started and the time it got hard for him that he was put in a witness protective program in the seventies.
The movie portrays a spirit of the mafia subculture and demonstrates their bio-social theories, control theory and deviant lifestyle.
The Mafia is a subculture of group who comes together and talk about how they came protect their neighborhood people who can’t protect themselves from the police. It’s culture track in the early fifties when the Italies had no one to look for to protect them so as a society they came together and made themselves accountable for each other do stuff that will benefit them from the rest. The Mafia was based on the promise that any member suffering from an alleged injustice was obliged to take personal vengeance while avoiding all contacts with legal authorities. Even the Today American Mafia Family. Each family is obligated within its own territory and when others from outside the territory interfered they were dealt with through violent methods. The wise guy was a local gangster who protected his entire member by paying off the head of their family members. This payoff was also none to them as giving back to the boss. In the Movie many of the Mafia were identified throughout some held by the Mafia were the codes of trust and silence. In some way never rat on a friend and keep your mouth shut. These rules were highlight by the narrator. As the movie goes on Henry Hill had his first arrest. He was brought to court; but as a Mafia he was defended by a paid Mafia lawyer and was later released. After his release, he was praised and given money from the Mafia family for honoring the code. This step was considered that he could be trusted by the Mafia family and it was just as important as a high school kid
