If the individual has a strong moral character, then they will be able to more easily identify the ethical issue and will at least have two possible outcomes. We can also have a lack of moral awareness in which we do not realize that a situation has any indications of being unethical. There are few reasons how we might be lacking moral awareness. One such way is ethical fading, where our morals start to dissolve and we even deceive ourselves using euphemistic language like borrowing instead of stealing. Additionally, we also could have ethical blindness where the individual is unable to see any ethical implications or moral myopia where our moral vision is distorted. The next stage of the process is moral judgment where the most ethically appropriate choice is determined. Included in this stage are the use of intuition, emotion, and reasoning. Intuition is an automatic initial judgment that's based on our built-in moral sense. This sense is self-evident and cannot be controlled. It is also known as our gut instinct in which we just know what is right or wrong. We can become morally dumbfounded when we cannot give a reason for a judgment. Moral consultation can help with the decision making process since people are influenced and persuaded through their social interactions however, this is not always used. It is also highly important in the organizational setting and employees are encouraged to seek ethical guidance. The moral consultation is meant to help determine the ethical decision although, the opposite could occur when unethical behavior is considered
