What does it take to be a good parent

Good morning ladies and gentlemen. I am Nasrullah, founder of Brainy Montessori. I am so grateful to have such an honour standing here to deliver my speech today . So today’s speech is about “What does it take to be a good parent ? I am sure all the parents here will agree with me that being parents is tough. Good parents don't just happen overnight . Good parents apply lessons they have learned and continually try to improve themselves and their parenting skills. Yes , being a parent can be the most rewarding and fulfilling experiences , but no matter what age your children may be , the learning journey never ends and may not seem easy .

Parents are individuals that the children look up to. We as parents, need to know how to make the children feel valued and loved . At the same time , teaching them the difference between right and wrong . Creating a nurturing environment where your children feel like they can thrive and develop into confident ,independence and caring adults in the years to come . It takes a whole lot of learning processes to be able to call yourself a good parent . The most important is the relationship you create with your children .

A parent’s relationship with their children will be reflected in the child’s actions . Example , “ If you don’t have good relationship with your child , they’re not going to listen to you . Based on my experience and the surrounding , “Think of how you relate to other adults , the ones that you have good relationship , you tend to trust them more , listen to their opinions and views and agree with them . And if it’s someone you don’t like , you will ignore their opinion no matter how persuasive they might seem .

As a parent ,you need to know how to make your children feel important and loved. Teaching them the difference between right and wrong. There is no substantial evidence to justify if one is a good parent to their own children. However , there are
