Whether you support this law or are against it, you should read about the many devastating articles of bystander apathy. It may convince you even more, or even change your mind. Although the law does have some flaws that could be changed, I think it could be the best possible way to stop this world problem and lead to a better future.
I believe that the Good Samaritan Law is one of our best chances of restoring decency in the U.S. Without this law, many lives could be lost or scarred. Like the story of Kevin Carter for example; he found a vulture waiting for a starving Sudanese toddler to die while the little girl struggled to reach an United Nations food camp. Kevin stood feet away trying to get his precious shot of the vulture and the girl for 20 minutes. After a while, he took the shot and all he did to help was shoo away the vulture who most likely came back a minute later. He received a Pulitzer Prize for the photograph but later committed suicide because of all the hate and depression he received.
