First of all, we will request the customers to register to be our member; the member can check all the information in their smartphone or in the website. Once the customers log in the account, they can request a taxi from anywhere at any time. What they need to do is just to set their pickup location on the map, and type their address. Then the apps will find out the nearest taxi in that area, and call the taxi driver to pick up the customers as soon as possible.
In Beijing there are almost 67000 taxi, the quantity of call taxi is 2.7 million times of a day, and now the amount of using smart phone to call the taxi is more than 10000 times, only accounts for less than 1% of the whole taxi market, the potential of using smart phone to call the taxi is still large.
I believe that our service will be success sooner or later, because we have obvious advantage than the traditional taxi service. There are several advantages in our service, such as more convenience, lower cost, and more efficient. Do not like the traditional taxi service, our apps help taxi driver to find the customers directly instead people just waiting a taxi by chance. So it can save people time and money. The apps identify customers’ location and the destination. Then customer will receive a text with estimate arrive time. The payment can also do via the our account. After the ride, the account will automatically charge the credit card customer have on file.

Potential new entrants include existing car rental firms, companies that currently supply cars to car-sharing businesses (such as Volkswagen), and new start-up car-sharing ventures. As Zipcar is operating in only Boston, there are opportunities for new entrants (with sufficient resources) to establish themselves as dominant car-sharing service providers in other cities. This threat to the profitability of Zipcar’s planned future expansion activities would pressure Zipcar to expand rapidly in order to remain ahead of the competition. A major barrier to entry is Zipcar’s patented technology involving wireless transmission of usage data between the shared cars and a server. New entrants would require substantial time, human, financial and technological resources in order to design, build and implement technology to rival Zipcar’s patented systems. They would also need to reach agreements with car manufacturers concerning the supply of vehicles, and secure parking spaces exclusively for subscribers.…
