Google Play Services Case Study
Google Play Services is Google's answer to battle fragmentation. Now you don't really have to wait for the next Android update (which usually depends on manufacturers and carriers) to enjoy many of the benefits of updated Google APIs. Google can now silent update Google Play Services through Google Play Store.

You should also notice that more and more of Google apps are now available on the Play Store, such as: Google Keyboard, Google Calendar, etc. The best thing about Google Play Services is that it supports old versions of Android up to Froyo. It is a boon in disguise as it saves time and effort of the people and is very convenient.

This can create errors in the services offered by Google play. To update the app, you just have to open the Play Store on your system and go to My apps, you will find an Update option available, you just need to click on that, as simple as that. The update will happen within seconds, if you have a good internet connection and you can avail the Google Play Services without any disruption. This is one of the common mistakes that people make, they do not update the app and they expect the services to go on smoothly. To reinstall the app, you can go to settings and then deactivate the device administrator. Moreover, you should also uninstall updates. After this step, if you go to any of the Google Play services, a message would show that you need to install Google Play Services, you should then click on install. Lo and behold! Your app will be installed again. You should again activate it by going to device administrators in settings. This will solve the error of Unfortunately the Google play services has stopped.

Method 3: Clear the Google Services Framework Cache

You should try to prevent the message unfortunately Google Play Services has stopped error from displaying on your screen by clearing the app cache. You should go to settings and then to Application Manager, from there you should locate Google Services Framework and click on force stop. After that, you should press clear cache option and restart your device. This is a useful method of tackling the error but it is not always successful. You should try out other methods as well.
