Government Persuasive Essay
Today, we talk about the issue that has plagued our nation for a hundred years. Today we talk about the time when our government took away the freedom of the people. .

A hundred years ago, our government instigated a complete revision of how society would be run. It inconspicuously attacked in waves, giving the masses no time to realize what happening, much less take action against the strikes. These attacks were recently brought to light when one of our spies in the government discovered primary documents that outlined the plan to control the state.

First came the airborne virus created to curb overpopulation. Seemingly overnight, a third of the nation’s population passed away from an unknown sickness. Another third became bedridden from constant fatigue and worsening immune systems. The virus continued to gradually kill those unfortunate enough to get infected, to the point where only less than half of the original population remained.

The government began the

The government began an immediate modification of the state’s social hierarchy. We were divided into two castes: those whose genetic makeup protected them from the virus, and the other half whose intellect was eliminated by the pill. The primary were labeled the “Elites”, a superior group granted the privilege of any job pertaining to the government. The latter, called the “Dregs”, was left to perform menial tasks that believed to be unfit for the Elites. Any person that attempted to defy the new system “mysteriously disappeared”.

Although the pills administered daily, it appears as though the effect on our IQ has decreased throughout the years. We believe that the bodies slowly become immune to the effects after every generation. Because of this, our organization believes that the time to start a change must happen now, before the government has a chance to amend the mistake that we have been

This is evident by the surprising number of viral diseases that have taken millions of lives each year. Although modern medicine has helped stave off diseases, more specifically in more developed countries, viruses have continued to evolve. As Crawford had argued, microbes and viruses evolve together. The end of Deadly Companions only enunciates the strong likelihood that a new infection will appear, as viruses have learned how to resist some vaccines. While plagues are frequent within still developing countries, developed countries have a strong likelihood to face repercussions from inappropriate vaccination use. However, to continue with her argument, if countries want to avoid mass deaths from plagues, they need to act ahead and regulated vaccines more.…

Influenza has been responsible for many deaths over the years. In the 1300s we discovered the Black Death, this disease, (believed to originate in China) was responsible for killing a quarter of Europe’s population[3]. Perhaps the worst of all influenza outbreaks was the 1918-1919 ‘Spanish flu’ pandemic. “The ‘Spanish flu’ killed more people in a single year than the Black Death caused in Europe over 4 years”…

Throughout history, many diseases have come and gone, leaving waves in the water of human progress. And though illnesses have been numerous, only two diseases have truly affected entire civilizations, ravaging the culture and lifestyle of the peoples, and escalating to epidemical heights. The two scourges are bubonic plague, which influenced Europe during the 1300’s, and smallpox, which impacted Mesoamerica and the Native Americans from the 1500’s to the 1900’s. To understand how these sicknesses were so altering to their related societies, one must understand the disease.…

Clarissa Harlowe "Clara" Barton was a pioneer nurse who founded the American Red Cross. In addition to being a hospital nurse, she worked as a teacher, patent clerk, and humanitarian. At a time when relatively few women worked outside the home, Barton built a career helping others. She was never married, as she knew the restrictions of a married woman at the time, but had a relationship with John J. Elwell. During the end of the American Civil War, Barton worked at a hospital she made helping the people at the Andersonville prison camp where 13,000 people died.…

Before, people only assumed viruses were spread by air, or bacteria, they had no clue, even though it happened before, that it could be spread by animals or by any other means. Probably one of the most important outcomes of this outbreak of this flu, was the realization of how a national health care system is needed. It is crucial to have this system to keep our country safe and healthy.…

More than two hundred years ago, our Founding Fathers found out the fact that by creating a nation, a symbol, they could take back the land, political power, as well as many other profits from British Empire. In chapter four “Tyranny is tyranny” from the book called “A people’s history of the United States” by Howard Zinn, the whole picture of America on its first days is once again re-performed in front of our eyes.…

Online, physically, or verbally you can be a victim of being bullied. You don’t have to keep things as they are. The question is how to handle the situation (Do you attack the bully and become the bully yourself? Or do you ignore the bully and pretend all is well?) What you do is speak up and ask for help. I would know, because not only was I a victim, I was also a person who stood by and simply watched it happen.…

Persuasive Essay : Many people would be happy and satisfied if they were in a relationship with money and fame. Doesn't that seem like the perfect life? Everyone begins to think that in life that's all that matters, and that's all they need, nothing could be better. Society dictates our morals, feelings, the way we do things and try's to tell us certain things we do are wrong and we need to do them the way they feel necessary. Our generations to come will have no clue what the meaning of a true, harmonious, happy life. They begin to think that not telling the truth is ok , and eventually get so use to it that even if they could hear the truth they wouldn't want to. It becomes part of their daily life. Clearly our society, or government has their own sneaky, conniving ways to try and brain wash everyone. Due to the problem that most people would rather have love, money, and fame, it's very rare to find some one who doesn't have any of that but is satisfied with only knowing the truth. People look up to celebrities, but they do not set good examples or try to be role models. In proposing a solution to the problem of adhering to the actions of celebrities, the analysis relates to Henry David Thoreau's belief in individuality as he talked about in his book Walden. Who is your hero? Usually the answer to this question, at least for many of us, involves a famous actor or singer, a celebrity. The celebrities of the world are the wealthiest, most beautiful and most stylish individuals to walk upon the planet. These icons, however, seem to have no moral dilemma whatsoever with corrupting the public. They are role models to the public, just as parents are role models to their children. Children mirror the actions of their parents, as does society the actions of celebrities. Suddenly, few people in the world are content because they do not live the same lifestyle as Madonna or Michael Jordan. Henry David Thoreau offers solutions in his work, Walden, to the constant societal…

American history is littered with tails of reform and revolution. Earlier on in America’s young life, revolution included war, struggle for basic human rights and dignity as well as radical tactics taken by the public. As time went on Americans learned that revolution and reform could occur through the government systems that our forefathers had put in place. The battle for human rights has all but ended but the way in which Americans wage war is a different story altogether. Now American’s fight for better public healthcare, equal rights for homosexual individuals and couples, and stricter standards for social welfare programs.…

"It's not just a game," to many athletes this statement rings true. Sports fuel the drive and determination within people, and provide them an essential learning tool from which they can grow. Competitive is defined as, "of or relating to a situation in which people or groups are trying to win a contest or be more successful than other : relating to or involving competition ."(merriam-webster.com) This concept of competitiveness is the foundation of all sports. The competitive spirit and thirst to want to better oneself in order to be at the top is a fueling force that will propel our children far beyond their years on the court. Providing children with equal playing time in youth sports discourages the necessary need for healthy competition and takes away valuable life lessons that will prepare them for the future.…

Hello, I am a student at Indiana University, as well as a concerned citizen. I grew up in Wayne Township from 1st grade to 12th grade. Going to a public school that constantly lost funding due to the lack of resourcing was very saddening. I cannot imagine going to Indiana Public Schools, where the funding is the bare minimum. Funding for the inner-city public schools and rural public schools need to be increased, instead of decreased. Taxes are being raised to fix roads, but not funneling money back into the number one investment, education. Briefly, I thought money from the lottery was supposed to be put toward the schools. It is unfair that suburban schools receive better funding and resources because of the location. Essentially we are redlining…
