Title: David Conner’s’ Graduation Proposal, 2013
Introduction:
My graduation project is about football and track. Both sports require exquisite athletic abilities to perform well. This proposal should give you a good idea of what I plan to do going forward into my project, and how the audience benefits from it.
Essential Question:
How does running track improve your athleticism in football?
Problem or Task (How you plan to answer your E.Q:
The problem is that not enough football players are in shape enough for football. Many great professional football players all ran track in high school. Such as; Emmitt Smith, Barry Sanders, Adrian Peterson, Ed Reed, Devin Hester, Chris Johnson, and the list goes on. The earlier you start to run track you will develop a running habit, which consist of you running all the time. Therefore you should never be out of shape. I plan to answer my E.Q. by comparing football players that run track, to those who do not.
Goals:
My goal for my project is to increase the athletic ability in many football players, so that they can be like the great professional players. I also plan to raise their endurance since many football teams started the season already. My mentor will help me train members of Southeast Raleigh Football team, and I will compare them to those who don’t run track. You should be able to see a drastic difference.
Methods:
I plan to start logging in my service hours August 26th, 2013. Then I will be committing myself to train varsity football players for Southeast Raleigh, and work with them through a series of track workouts as much as possible. This experiment is very important because it will improve the performance of the athletes and the team will be more successful for the season. Coach Elizabeth Gary is my mentor, who is the track coach of Southeast Raleigh. She will guide me through the course. Even though I run track, I’m not as experienced at coaching as
