Unit 1 Discussion-Prehistory
17 / 25

Individual Feedback:
Donny,
I've deducted points for missing the deadline and I'd like to offer a few suggestions for improvement.
I need to see a lot more detail in your posts in both detail (facts) and analysis (what you think). In addition, you'll need to respond more to your peers.
If you incorporate these suggestions into your future posts, I'm sure your grade will improve.

Unit 2 Essay-Mesopotamia
67 / 100

Individual Feedback:
Donny,
You have a nice writing style and you provided good information. However, I'm not sure you had a clear understanding of the assignment. Please make you carefully read the assignment requirements. Your formatting is in no recognizable standard and you did not use a textbook at all for a source. While video can be good, they cannot be your only source. In addition there is no clear thesis statement.
Before you submit your next essay, I want you to take advantage of the writing tutoring service offered by eCore or your home institution. Have them look over your essays.
Learning to write a college-level essay isn't easy, but with practice and tutoring, it will become easier.

When writing an essay there really is more to it than just writing words down and making sure the words is used correctly. When someone is having thoughts they need to write them down and just go from there. At first it may not be perfect, but the writer can always go back and change the errors that need to be fixed. Before reading this I figured it was going to be about bad writing and one should not worry if it is not perfect. This made me realize that it is not about how you write, but what you write about and how to get your thoughts across.…

To start off with, the overall environment of being part of an AP/IB English class all throughout high school has made a positive affect on me. This has not only affected my familiarization with college level essays but I know what is expected from a higher level english course. As I have mentioned in my previous essay, I have written papers that were up to seventeen pages long. When I was in high school I often thought, why do I have to write so much, it would annoy me that every month was a new essay, now the idea of writing a lengthy paper has…

Many professors may think that a concurrent senior coming out of high school like me cannot have the skills needed to succeed in college-level writing; however, after taking Composition I and II in the fall and spring of my Senior year, I believe I can write well thought and crafted college level essays. While I have strengthened some areas of writing more than others, I have learned and acquired many important concepts and techniques and incorporated them into my writing. By taking Composition I and II, I believe that I have developed the required skills and ideologies to succeed in college-level writing. Although a college level paper should demonstrate an understanding of tone, style, cohesion,…

    Essay On My Writing Style

When writing an essay I usually do very bad, on my grammar mostly. Im not good with where my commas, semicolons, some quotation marks go. I need to work on my citations, thesis statements, and how to tie everything in to make a good conclusion. Other problems for me to work on are my transitional words, and how to stop using words repeatedly, word choice. Usage of the wrong verbs, pronouns, nouns and more. In high school we had to write papers that wasn’t really hard and they actually babied us . Therefore most students from high school going in to college like me are not ready for college level…

Writing essays have always been a challenge for me. I am from Ecuador, my native language is Spanish and, I came to the United States three years ago. With the passage of the time, I have learned to talk in English, but learning to write in English has been much harder for me over these three years. However, I have been noticing some progress in my writing in different ways: Idea generation, structuring the essay, and learning to give good supporting evidence have been some of the biggest improvements I have made in my writing in this last semester.…
