Her mother had gotten away by saying that she was not Jewish, and escaped easy at this because most of the S.S blandly looked for dark olive eyes and hooked noses. Sarah had blond hair, and blue eyes. She got a job and it was pre-arranged that she would be a nurse’s assistant or a practical nurse in the nursing home. The Nazi’s were afraid of entering the Isolation ward as they were so selfishly, scared of getting sick from disease. Max had then found the family and was 12 years senior by the time they saw him again, also being married at a very early age. As they waited for her father, weeks went by until they found out that he had been exterminated in Auschwitz. In 1986, Jeannine moved to New Orleans in 1986. She was a mother with six children and she still had fantasies that her father was alive. Later on, still being 1986, there was a gathering of survivors in Philadelphia and a nice group from New Orleans went. Jeannine, her sister and her brother all attended, and the gathering took place in a big hall. There were mostly Polish survivors. Some were French. Most would state their ethnicity. The arrived a large table, where the Germans had meticulously recorded every Jewish citizen that was deported and every city in that country. Jeannine spotted her fathers name, and under it was when he was deported and when they were set free. Jeannine’s father had the listing of when he was…

The State of the Union addressed by Ronald Regan was an uplifting speech. Mr. Regan gave this speech to inform people what was going on in the united states by giving good information and positivity to the people. Mr. Regan said that too much government isn't good by referring to Iao-tzu, a Chinese philosopher, "Govern a great nation as you would cook a small fish, don't overdo it," you don't want a burned fish, or a bad government, do you? He also talked about how he wants to "take down land barriers. "…

On Friday, March 11, 2016 my unit, Ben Morrell Battalion, and I arrived at Nancy Reagan’s funeral at around 0700 to honor the guests attending. We were stationed around the front entrance waiting for the guests to arrive. When the guests arrived, we snapped to attention and stood there until they had passed. I did not know who most of the guests were that passed us, but we did have the honor to greet Newt Gingrich and his wife, Larry King, and Tom Selleck. We alternated from at ease to attention for about two hours for the guests. When all of the guests had arrived, we witnessed the motorcade carrying the First Lady, former first ladies, and our former President. It was an honor to see and be in the presence of our country’s leaders. In between…

I haven’t stopped running since May of 2013, and truth be told, I’m getting kind of tired of it. Not of the sweat, the fact that my legs are constantly sore, the nuisance of cycling all of my workout clothes through the wash every week, or even the fact that I still look like the skinniest guy in the gym. No, I’m getting tired of all the other baggage that’s come with it.…

There comes time in the history of our world, where a quote defines and embodies the actual event. Some people remember both when both President Franklin D. Roosevelt and Present George W. Bush said those famous words regarding the bombing of Pearl Harbor and the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States, by saying, “it will be a date that will live in infamy”. Present Reagan, whom some would say had a memorable quote when it came to the end of the Cold War.…

Then you arrive at the school. You sit in the assigned seat and watch the children before you get up and shake hands. You feel your hands get clammy as you wait.
