Graduation Speech: Tri-County
Tri-County is starting to assist young people whom have disabilities with what comes next after high school. The support and guidance we provide currently to adults will be similar to what will be done with young people adding an educational component along with skills and whatnot specific to this age range.
Since this is the beginning, I would love to have a moment of your time. I would like to talk about what you see as gaps in services. I would like to talk about what you see that works and doesn’t. I would like to talk to you about what we had in mind. I would like to talk about how we might be able to partner to serve this age group.

While acknowledging this emphasis, McNally and Harvey argue that career and technical student organizations avail students of a range of opportunities and methods to further compliment the goal of achieving self-determination for both populations.…

A self-employed business man once said, “The best example of leadership is leading by example” (Jerry McClain). He describes a true leader, a pioneer whose morals and selflessness guide her to guide others. She is an inspiration, and a beacon of hope for all to follow. I share this passion for helping and guiding by example, and as a member of the National Junior Honor Society, I would seek to better the community just as I do every day inside and outside of the classroom.…

A century after Columbus sailed the ocean blue, Great Britain's dreams would finally come true. In 1607, Britain established the first English settlement in the New World, Jamestown. This led to the establishment of the British colonies of Virginia, Massachusetts, all the way until the final colony Georgia. And although many may think that the colonies operated as one similar unit, the truth is all the colonial regions were very similar and different in social, political and economical structure.…
