The gratefulness of nature

Respect is a key concept that as humans we should take actions about everything that is part of our lives. We use the esthetics of nature for our own advantages, but in the same time we don’t think about the consequences. Do we harm or do we preserve nature? We are surrounded by many beautiful places but less people care about what they do to the environment. There is such beauty and potential that surrounds us every moment. People’s life become more complex day by day and creates an increase in technology, performance and industrialization. Science and technology has advanced with time and people research was focus more in quantity versus quality. Time showed us the effect against natural transformations. Massive transformations resulted in changes of the relationship between humans and nature. There is no doubt that our value system plays a huge role in this destruction. A good example is that of pollution. Important is to focus in what pollution is all about and how much pollution is being generated or reduced but it also important to focus in who pollutes. People are trying to take a step further by focusing not only on “who” pollutes but “why” such a person like group, nation, or other any entity pollutes. The air, water and the soil of habitats all over the world have been and are still polluted in many different ways. This pollution affects the health of living things. Air is damaged by car and the dirty fumes and power stations create acid rains that destroy our forests and lakes. Oil spills pollute sea water and kill marine life. Chemical waste from factories and sewage works, and artificial fertilizers from farmland, pollutes river water, killing wildlife and spreading diseases. If we add another value, the value of independence with all living beings and nature and we had the full realization of this independence, we would not allow nature to be destructed the way we are Grama 2 doing it now. I believe it would different if we base our actions on solidarity and learn how to share our responsibilities. We should stop the values of the market and don’t let to dominate our life. People like power and we all like to have the newest part of technology that comes on the market. We are invaded by materialism and the huge corporations and their policies, programs and processes seem to be questioned by a good majority of world citizens. It is you and I who have to choose individually and collectively. Nobody can or should choose from us. We kill species, burn forests, spill oil in the oceans, driving expensive cars, boats, airplanes, but for doing these the nature is perhaps taking revenge now giving us :floods, storms, tsunamis, earthquakes, hurricanes and global warming. We cut down trees without replacing them and this also result on oxygen depletion, too much carbon dioxide to heat up the planet and the worst of all is the death of many species. Our water, air and soil are all under constant assault. It seems like today they are more people than ever who say that they want to save the environment. We become more desperate to have countries to protect their natural environment for the benefit of humanity, as a collective public good and we start see some improvements in some areas. More people are called to move into other form of human interactions and also to listen and act differently which will be either a response to the conflict or to an end. Many of the people wait for the developmental organizations and they expect them to do all the work instead to work collectively. We are not only building more physical walls but we are creating more sophisticated economic weapons and financial monopolies that characterize our waste in the society. Some of the people they decided to move away from city life by building up little communities away from civilized world. Being away from modern world give them pace but also are trying to live a normal and simple life. Efforts are being taken to preserve the natural resources, but we cannot leave the problem entirely to be solved by the experts. It all sound so said, but we all must, whatever age we are, we can do something to help, to slow down and to reverse some of the damages. We must learn to live in a sustainable way and learn how to use our natural resources which include air, freshwater, forests, wildlife without damaging them. As population grow and lifestyle changes, we must keep the world in a Grama 3 good condition so that future generations will still have natural resources to use. Some of our natural resources are renewable, while others, unfortunately, are not. The main concern of preserving some resources is that the humans are using natural resources in excess for housing, industry, tourism and other human development. My conclusion is that the people should face the reality and they need to be focus in how to solve the problem. It is not some sort of organization or political entity that will do so, unless the people step up and take care of the nature, we all going to suffer.
