Why the internet? Well even though the internet has not been around for a long time in mankind’s short history it has played a pivotal role in the modern world. The Internet has sparked countless revolutions in the middle east, so many instead of naming them all people just to refer to it as the “Arab Spring” as a general grouping. The internet has also revolutionized the way humans interact with each other and the rest of the world. A letter that would have taken three months to travel around the world to get to it’s reciever now travels in a matter of milliseconds. Money can be transferred between two entities without hassle and commerce can flourish in ways that have never been thought possible before.
Like I mentioned before one of the biggest events to come about with the age of the internet is the Arab Spring. The Arab Spring was a huge historical event in which the internet played a vital role in. It started in December of the year of our God two thousand and ten when many people in living in Arab nations grew furious with their corrupt and authoritative governments. This was not a contained event as if it only happened in one country, this event took place in many parts of the Arab world. The real organization for all of the rioting started out on the social networking sites of Twitter and Facebook.
