In Greece, the government started out rough because there wasn’t any unity due to many city-states. Since they weren’t united, all the city-states had their own version of a government that was unique to each city-state. However, most of them came up with a similar democracy that first originated in Athens. Sadly, only a few of the first Athenian government writings have made their way to our time.

The Romans fought their way to a better government. They were being ruled by a king, but they overthrew him and fought in wars to get more power. They would even fight themselves to become even more powerful. They soon became a republic, fighting and electing all by themselves like little kids finally growing up. The Romans were the champions of the world. They had control of the whole Roman Empire which spread from Egypt all the way to Britain. It seems as though they never lost which really helped their empire.
As you might’ve noticed, Rome and Greece are not that much alike. However, you might’ve noticed that they are somewhat similar in government because they both eventually got to elect their own leaders. They both go through leadership that isn’t the greatest, and they find a way to fix it.
