It’s the buzz of the NFL world. The Green Bay Packers have made one big addition this week. The team has just signed the offensive lineman Adam Pankey.

According to Yahoo Sports, the Green Bay Packers has just signed offensive lineman Adam Pankey from practice squad to active roster. Originally, Pankey was signed with the Green Bay as an undrafted free agent out of West Virginia, Yahoo said.

What to expect from Adam Pankey
As mentioned earlier on the Packers website, the Green Bay has decided to release Ricky Jean Francois and LaDarius Gunter to pave the way for incoming new players like OL Adam Pankey and WR Geronimo Allison. Pankey, 6-foot-5 inches and 324 pounds offensive lineman, has been originally signed by the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of West Virginia last May. Pankey’s wide-body appearance, which proved to be tough for some players, will appeal to some NFL teams looking for a big guard. The former Mountaineers can handle basic zone blocks, but there will be some issues on his drive-blocking power, the NFL said.

Finally, with Pankey under their roof, the Green Bay Packers now have 10 offensive linemen, which much better compared with Sunday’s game with Seattle Seahawks where the Packers had only 7 linemen on the active roster. Other NFL-related news
In other football related stories, several former Packers players nominated for NFL Pro Football Hall of Fame. These include LeRoy Butler, Sterling Sharpe, Donald Driver and head coach Mike Holmgren are all nominated for the Pro Hall of Fame Class of 2018, according to Packers.

For example Chris Henry the wide receiver that they drafted in the 3rd round, knowing that he had a troubled past that even led up to his college days at West Virginia. They unfortunately carried over to the NFL and he got into many bad situations with drug abuse and other situations. Henry did begin to finally turn his life around but sadly his life was cut short in an accident when he fell out of the bed of a moving truck. Henry was only 26. Since then the Bengals have really done a good job in the draft getting good players that have a clean background. Although the Bengals still have taken chances on players that are questionable Marvin Lewis has taken them under his wing and has mentored them and had really helped them turn their lives around, in example Adam Jones and Vontez Burfict. In doing so they spend very low round draft picks on them. Burfict is a perfect example of this. The Start of this kid’s senior season he was a lock for the first round. Burfict did not take the game seriously though. In essence he self­destructed. Getting into trouble with the law, and in games he got called for many unnecessary roughness calls and cost his team plays and yards. By the time the draft rolled around his draft stock had…
