Greenglass House Summary

The book I read was Greenglass House by Kate MIlford. The book takes place at an Inn ran by Mr and Mrs Pine. The Inn looks like they got every part of the house from a different place and the windows are green that's why it’s called Greenglass House. It’s also winter and they usually don’t get guest at this time of the year but suddenly they got a lot. The guest that come to the Inn are usually smugglers. The house used to be owned by Doc Holystone and he was a pirate. One day he was on the grounds of the Inn and someone shot him and he died right in front of his daughter. His daughter then leaned to far over the balcony fell and died and now the daughter is a ghost that sometimes goes to the Inn. There is also, believe to be something left behind by Doc Holystone.
He doesn’t like that he does not look like Mr. Pine or Mrs. Pine so he struggles a lot with this. So when Meddy comes along and ask if he’s adopted he gets very mad at her. Then things begin to go missing in the Inn, so Meddy decides to help him find the stolen objects. She makes it into a game where they each come up with a character to pretend to be. Milo decides to make his character into a boy named Negret. When he pretends to be Negret he is more confident and he pretends that he isnt adopted. He’s able to talk more to the guest and he’s able to find clues and all the items that were stolen. Also at first he hated that guest were coming earlier in the season this year but he soon begins to enjoy all the excitement and curious things that were
