Saint José Ramón Agustín Pro Juárez, also known as Saint Miguel Pro, was born on January 13, 1891, in Guadalupe, Mexico. He was one of eleven children, the oldest boy. Sadly, four of his siblings died as babies or young children. From an early age, he was heartily spiritual, as well as mischievous; he constantly entertained his family with his humor and practical jokes. St. Miguel was a dauntless child and sometimes took his pranks and fun too far, putting him in several near-death mishaps. The third oldest in his family, St. Miguel was unquestionably very close with his older sister. After she entered a convent at age 20, he started to recognize his own calling to the priesthood. Though his father wanted him to continue with the family business, Miguel lived for God and entered the Jesuit novitiate in El Llano, Michoacán in 1911. He had been studying with the Jesuit priests for only a year when a religious revolution broke out in Mexico and by 1914, the Jesuits were forced to flee the country.…

His friends and family adopted the shortened moniker, Donatello, when he was only a child. This is what we know him as today. Donatello's first educational environment was at the home of the Martellis, a wealthy Florentine family of bankers and patrons closely linked to the Medici family. In the shop of a goldsmith within the Martellis family, Donatello learned metallurgy, fabrication of metals and various materials, and other skills of the trade. In around 1400, he began apprenticing with the metalsmith and sculptor, Lorenzo Ghiberti.…

The Olive Garden is my favorite Italian restaurant for many reasons. As soon as you walk in, you are almost overwhelmed by the hostess's hospitality. You are then warmed by the cozy atmosphere and pretty dangling lights that are streaming from wall to wall. After being seated, you are spoiled with as many servings of bread sticks and salad as you can eat. Their portions are much larger than Carrabba's and even cheaper. My favorite dish is their fettuccini alfredo. Every time that I go to The Olive Garden I get the same thing because I can't seem to make myself get something different in fear that I may not enjoy it as much.…

The baroque period was by far the most interesting to me, in particular was Giani Bernini’s. Bernini’s style created dynamic compositions and his sculptures were meant to be viewed from all directions drawing the viewer in and making them a part of the scene. In his sculpture Apollo and Daphne, we are captured by the action and the emotion displayed in his subjects, he paid a great deal of attention to texture, from the luxurious curling locks of Daphne’s hair, or meticulously veined leaves, or the roughness of tree bark, or the supple softness of skin. think his combination of sculptures, architecture and painting created a new idea of what art work could encompass.…
