Grey's Anatomy: My Interest In The Human Body System
Ever since I watched the show Grey’s Anatomy, my interest in the human body system began. I was fascinated with the way the body works and all the different things that cause our bodies to react in a certain way. What amazes me is the things we can do in order to prevent ourselves from putting our bodies through things that can cost us our lives. What I want to get out of this class is to learn way more about the human body. I would also like to get into depth about some of the things I know already.
Out of all four years that I have been in high school, no other class has caught my attention. I had planned on taking it last year, but I had no room in my schedule to take it which was very disappointing for me. I had to switch a class in order

This is the most challenging course I’ve taken so far. I think it’s a combination of just the subject in general (something I’ve never really explored before) and the materials we’re using to learn from. Some of them are fairly extensive and yet I don’t come away feeling like I really learned anything from them.…

The introduction to the novel is what turned me off initially. Kate wakes up in a stranger’s bed - naked - and can’t remember the night before, but immediately regrets it. She soon learns that the man’s name is Mike, and I can’t help but think of how stereotypical the start of the book is. My thoughts race to the first episode of Grey’s Anatomy, where nearly the same scene starts off the show, and I pray that the book won’t be filled with clichés. Kate reads what she had drunkenly texted to her friends the night before and realizes that she couldn’t remember when or where she sent the text. However, how come Kate was able to recall the every single word of the conversation that she had with Mike at around the same time that she had sent the…

There are four major categories of tissues in the human body. Each of them separate into even smaller groups with specific structures and functions. The four major types are epithelial tissue, connective tissue, muscle tissue and cardiac tissue. They are all necessities of the human body and contribute to many functions our bodies and cells carry out in order to survive. Tissues interact and group together to make up organs which then compose systems and the human body all together.…

When times get tough and the only way to survive is to keep fighting, there are two choices: either you sink or you swim. At least that’s the mentality that belongs to the young, soon-to-be medical doctors in the 2005 TV series Grey’s Anatomy. Already having 8 seasons of surgical miracles, everlasting camaraderies, problematic love triangles, and life-threatening decisions, Grey’s Anatomy portrays a “dramedy” which focuses on a highly intellectual group of interns, residents, and attendings that strive to one-up each other in order to rank as the best, save the lives of patients, and keep the reputation of Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital. Nonetheless, many of the characters constantly struggle to keep up with these responsibilities because of the difficulties in keeping their personal and professional lives apart.…
