After marrying the King, the daughter gave birth to a baby, and soon the little man came to take what was his. Not wanting to part with her child, the little man gave her the option that if she found out his real name, she would be able to keep her child. The daughter tried with countless names that did not work, until one day a servant overheard the little man shouting out his name, Rumpelstiltskin. As soon as the Queen stated the man’s name, Rumpelstiltskin ripped his body in two. In the story of “Rumpelstiltskin”, it can be defined as one where there is no one who is truly innocent or pure. Readers are able to conclude that Rumpelstiltskin possibly does not want the war or violent means to be used to find the child if he did actually kidnap the baby. It is also evident that Rumpelstiltskin does not harbor any sort of hatred against the daughter for going back on their agreement. As a result, it is hard to see who is really the “good guy” in this fairy tale. Although, Rumpelstiltskin was shown to be the villain who was a “monster” that wanted to take the daughter’s baby away even though Rumpelstiltskin was able to appear anywhere even to be able to secretly take the baby; instead, he a The idea that the actions and not looks of an individual really defines how kind natured an individual truly is. Whereas the daughter was conveyed to be beautiful, while Rumpelstiltskin was shown more like a demon, the actions took by Rumpelstiltskin did not have any sense of evil one would expect a demon to have.
