GROTTO OF LADY OF LOURDES
Every year of Lenten Season, I, my family and other relatives went to the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan. We go there to pray and also as a family bonding of us. Many people believed that the water in the spring in Grotto heal all illnesses. They have an empty bottle and get some water from it for them to drink it. By their faith on our Lady of Lourdes, they believe that their illnesses can cure by it. They say that the water is miraculous because the water runs beneath the statue of Our Lady of Lourdes. There are a lot of people from different places that go there to experience the miraculous water of Lady of Lourdes.
The basilica of Lady of Lourdes in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan is copy of Lourdes in France. There are two grotto of Lady of Lourdes in the Philippines, one is in the Baguio and the other one is in our place (Bulacan). This Lourdes in Bulacan is so beautiful because it features a Calvary Hill with life-size statues that depict the 14 Stations of the Cross, and a Rosary Hill with 155 giant concrete beads. This place is quiet amazing, after you go there and pray, you will notice that there is something in you that you don’t understand; it looks like that you are blessed – something great.
For those who want to go there, if you are in Metro Manila just go to Baclaran or somewhere in Edsa Avenue or in Cubao, there are many buses that have a sign of “Tungko” or “Grotto”. Also buses that have sign board of “Sapang
