Introduction to machines
It is an apparatus using mechanical power and having several parts, each with a definite function and together performing a particular task.
How machines make us lazy
Modern day scientific inventions
have made our lives easy and comfortable but this has also reduced our physical activity which is making us lazy. Nowadays machines govern us. In every aspect of life we are becoming more and more dependent on modern machines and have stopped using our body and brain.
Computers, calculators and internet are sources of great help but we have begun to depend totally on these inventions. For instance, even if we have to add a few numbers or do a small calculation we take out our calculator rather than use our brain. Our parents can still solve such problems in a jiffy without the aid of a calculator. We should try to solve our mathematical problems without using calculators this makes our mind sharp. Sitting on a chair for many hours, in front of the computers, reduces physical activity and can hinder the growth of young children; weak eyesight is another common complaint, and staying most of the time in a room keeps us away from the beautiful scenes of nature. How machines help us
If we know how to
operate the machine it will help us do our work better, faster and cheaper. We can then produce more output with less physical effort but with more mental effort. Putting more mental effort makes the person more creative and innovative.
Why are machines useful
They make what
would normally be hard work easy work and are simple and cost-effective to construct and are very efficient. They are used around us every day, and even in our bodies.
Why machines are so efficiency which makes us lazy
In a study of several hundred
young people, technology was impacted the way they
