JUSTICE! In the United States and all over the world there use to be racism. You would see racism everywhere form the buses, water fountains, bathrooms to the restaurants and even in the court room. In Harper Lee’s book, To Kill a Mockingbird, she demonstrated racism in many ways but the main way she demonstrated it was in the case of Tom Robinson. Tom Robison is a kind and gentle black man who lives on the outskirts on Maycomb county. Tom was accused of rapping and abusing Mayella Ewell, the daughter of Bob Ewell, and then is unfairly thrown is prison for a crime he did not commit. Even though Atticus, Tom Robinson’s attorney, had the proof to show that Tom was innocent, the judge and jury did not really observe the evidence but the color of the skin. Atticus proved that it was physically impossible for Tom Robinson to commit the crime. Mayella was bruised on her right side of her face, so therefore whoever committed the crime had to use his left arm which Tom had injured when he was younger which made it unable for him to move his left arm. On the other hand Bob Ewell was left handed. True love Love is what many people, who believe in It or those who don’t, want. They want a companionship to care for them and make them feel good. She knew she fell in love because she would always feel nervous around him. He was a few years older then her but she didn’t
