CSM Week 2013
1. The Tabulation Board is composed of nine (9) student members, headed by a Chairperson.
2. Each of the four (4) departments/ societies (ChemSoc, Haynayan, KMP, & SMAS) is represented by two members. The ninth member is from the College of Science and Mathematics- Executive Council.
3. For event that require judges to determine the winner (i.e. Acoustic Singing), the “rank system” will be implemented. In this system, the contestants will be ranked according to the scores given by each judge. Then the final ranks will be determined based on the average of the ranks (not the raw scores) given by the judges. In the case of tie (see SAMPLE 1), the contestants will obtain the same points for the overall tabulation. However, for the awarding purposes, the tie will be broken by assessing the raw scores of the contestants. The contestant with the raw score closer/ nearer to the highest score given by each judge will be the one who will be given the higher place for awarding (in an event where the committee in-charge has set its own rule on how to break a tie, the tie-breaking scheme in this document will not be followed). In case when there is a tie and the raw scores are all the same, the Chairman of the Board of Judges is the only one who is authorized to break the tie in behalf of the judges.
4. For the overall scores, the computation is based on the following categories situated in the weighing system:
