The guitar is a six-stringed instrument that captivates who ever listens to the beautiful sound it creates. It´s one of the most popular instruments in the world, not only because of its portability but it’s fairly simple to learn. People who decides to learn how to play guitar often make do so because is easy to carry around and there are many people out there to learn from, what they don’t know is that it also improves some mental aspects of the learner as well. Playing guitar can help you increase your creativity and also helps to improve memory and concentration.

Only a small amount of people know all the benefits that come with playing guitar besides being able to show off at parties. Research has shown that people who play either acoustic or electric guitar use up to four times as much the part side of the brain that holds our creative potential. Schools around the world have seen the benefits that musical instruments (where the guitar is among the most utilized instruments) give the students. Kids or teens that play guitar show a greater ease to solve a problem where creativity is needed. If you think that creativity is not your strongest trait, you may want to consider learning guitar. Who knows? You may discover a side of you that you didn’t know.

Besides de fact that playing guitar increases your creativity, it can also help you improve your memory and concentration levels. By learning a song on the guitar you are focusing your concentration towards learning the chords, the order, and the picking pattern of the song. While doing this, your brain is unconsciously improving your concentration and memory levels. Learning guitar will allow you to take focus on great amounts of content and memorizing them with ease. Better concentration and memory while learning to play an incredible instrument sounds like a great deal, don’t you think?
