Gum Of Fresh Coconut Case Study
The antibacterial activity of the green synthesized silver nanoparticles from aqueous extract of Gum of fresh Coconut was tested by the disc diffusion method against an antibiotic, ampicillin(1µg/µl) as a standard drug. The antibiotic resistant bacteria viz., Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilus, Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumonia were used for the measurement of antibacterial activity, and the plates were incubated at 370C overnight to know the zone of inhibition.

2.2. Cell Culture and Nanoparticles Treatment

For cell culture, selective cell lines were collected from the National Centre for Cellular Sciences (NCCS), Pune, India. The cell lines used are namely U937 (human histiocytic lymphoma), COLO205 (human Colon adenocarcinoma),

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
3.1. Characterization of Silver Nanoparticles
The present study reports that the aqueous extract of gum of Cocos nucifera may act as reducing and capping agents for the synthesis of silver nanoparticles. When the aqueous coconut gum extract was mixed with the aqueous solution of silver ion complex, it has resulted in the color change of extract from transparent pale yellow to orange reddish colored solution due to the reduction of Ag+ ion by aqueous coconut gum to Ag. 3.3. FTIR analysis FTIR analysis was carried out to identify the possible biomolecules formed by the reduction of Ag+ ions and capping of the bioreduced nanoparticles synthesized by the aqueous extract of Coconut Gum.The FTIR spectra of Cocos nucifera Silver Nanopparticles is presented in Fig.4.The representative spectra of CNAgNPs obtained where absorption peaks are located at about 3383cm-1(-OH groups of Carboxylic acids and also –N-H groups of amines), 2131cm-1(-CΞN,CΞC,-C-H strech),1786 cm-1(-C=O of ketones and esters),1643 cm-1(-C=O of amides and carboxylic acids stretch ),1045 cm-1(-C=O of esters). 3.4. XRD Analysis X-ray Diffraction (XRD) analysis confirmed the existence of crystalline silver nanoparticles in the sample. The Bragg’s reflections observed in the XRD pattern at 2θ = 31.411, 37.86, 37.77, 37.68, 32.56, 38.04, 77.21, 77.12 were Shown in Fig. 5.
