In my opinion gun control should be enforced more, mostly in the United States because that’s where you and I live, not only here but also all around the world. Every day or every month or every year for the majority of our life there will be an incident involving guns. Whether is an accident or a terrorist attack or a school shooting there will and always be something involving guns. For this specific cause is that I’m taking the time to inform you of guns not only for your benefit but mostly for the benefit of people all around you whether it’s a family member or a friend or just someone you may know. A few months ago to be exactly on December of 2012 there was the most recent shooting at a school, not only was it the most recent but also the one that will always be kept in memory in the hearts of families that suffered losses. Also throughout time we have been seeing shooting after shooting, research has shown that most of these people are not normal, by this I mean that they all had problems either as an adult or as a child. Not only is this wrong but United States of America second amendment states that people have the right to keep and bear arms. I will explore onto this topics at a broader way to explain to you why gun control should be more control.
December a month were you seem to think that is one of the best, a month were you get to spend time with your family and be grateful of all the good things there are, the most favorite month of the year for most. Unfortunately December of 2012 went a whole 360 degrees different of what any human being living in Connecticut would have imagined. “One of the deadliest school shooting in American history.” (cbsnews) simply because of no strict gun control laws. Thinking of this makes me angry, and then it hits me of how unfair things happen, because of sick people our world is the way it is today not only do we see it in America but also throughout most of the world. Innocent children 20 in total had to pay the price. Now, do we think weather this will be a good enough reason that we demand to have a needing of stricter gun control measure?
School shooting – other shooting happen not because the person is in a good mentally state, but obviously because they have problems maybe anger issues maybe mental problems or just maybe political and religious beliefs. “Lunatics, bullied school kids, disgruntled workers, and others can inflict mass casualties with guns that otherwise wouldn't be possible.” (balencepolitics) by this its referring that most of the time tragedies like this are cause by mentally ill people with other background problems. Also the fact that most of the time sellers don’t have a clue of who their selling the gun to and what are their purposes. I think this has a big impact on some of the shooting that have happen before.
The second amendment of the United States of America states that “a person has the right to keep and bear arms” (Wikipedia). President Obama said “the major provisions of his package of gun proposals, including background checks on all gun sales, a ban on semi-automatic weapons that mimic military weapons, and limiting ammunition magazines to 10 rounds.” (cnn) this is what should have been thought off a long time ago because now if we have background checks it would reduce the amount
of guns that are being sell to people that may have problems or a criminal record. President Obama also proposed in his speech state of the union that there should be a banned on semi-automatic weapons. I feel like everyone will feel safer if this law comes out because either way there shouldn’t be any military guns on the street.
On the other hand many people believe gun control should stay the same. I respect the fact that yes maybe they hunt or they have one at home to make their family feel safe and that is totally fine. So yes I can relate to the pros of not having as much gun control as we should already have. However, it is often thought by people that they have the right to buy semi-automatic weapons but then imagine, why would anyone have the need to buy such a gun made mostly for extreme circumstances like war?
Before one of the biggest school shooting in America I would think, how could having a more enforce gun control benefit me in any way? The answer hit me after hearing all about those innocent children that lost their life, I started to think that maybe it won’t benefit me now but surely will it be a benefit to other people and perhaps a whole community all throughout the United States. I think, I think about how great nations would be if they had a more strict control and then I smile and wait for something significant to happen, something that will change the way Americans think.

The role guns play in our society has long been a controversial topic for the past few years in the united states. There are those who believe that guns do not belong in the hands of citizens and there are those who believe that guns are the foundation that protects our rights and liberties stated in the Constitution. There are too many leading factors as to why there should not be any stricter gun control laws. Some of these factors are that they go against our fundamental rights of self defense, give too much power to the government, and could potentially increase crime rates in the united states.…

For the last couple of years, gun control has continued to be a huge controversial debate in Congress. This argument over whether gun control laws should be strict is nothing new to the world of politics. The ideas of gun control consist of laws that either keep away firearms from people, or allow one to keep guns for personal protection. They also control who the guns are being sold to and who can own them. In America, each state government has passed many gun control laws. Many people think that gun control is right because they think keeping people away from guns will reduce the amount of deaths each year. They also think that guns cause many of the deaths that had been committed each year. Whenever people hear the word gun, the thoughts…

Gun control has sparked quite a controversy over the years. Some people believe that having strict gun control is the only way to fix the problems. While others, including myself, believe it is more a problem with the person that is behind the trigger. There has been laws about gun control as early as 1934. as citizens, we need to ask ourselves if having gun control will solve all the issues at hand. With both arguments, there is facts to support. I believe that gun control will not have the ability to make all the problems go away, there needs to be more done.…

“Any society that will give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both ” (Benjamin Franklin). Gun control has been an issue for several years now due to the mass shootings and gun violence that has taken place. Many laws have been established to keep anymore shootings from happening, but these laws are starting to get out of hand. Adding and creating more gun control laws will not fix the problems with society today. Although some people could argue that gun control laws keep people safe, guns do not murder people, people murder people and no law could stop terrorist or criminals from causing mass shooting.…

Controlling access to firearms will not make shootings happen less frequently. While the media prefers to report and sensationalize the shootings committed by 'loners who kept to themselves until they finally snapped ', the average gun violence incident happens among the already present criminal element. Therefore, taking firearms out of the hands of law-abiding citizens will not only do nothing about criminal access to such weapons, but will rob otherwise honest and forthright citizens from being able to defend themselves from such villainy with equal measure. Gun control is vital, but not to the point of over control. Having the rights to our 2nd amendment is vital and increasing control won’t stop violence and taking away those rights will cause more violence. We as humans are prone to violence and predation (without the eating part) on one another simply because of our brain size and how we evolved.…

Gun Control Since the days of the pioneers of the United States, firearms have been part of the American tradition as protection and a means of hunting or sport. As we near the end of the 20th century the use of guns has changed significantly. Because of fast and steady increase in crime and the fight for the right to own a hand gun, the introduction of legislation for gun control, to try to reduce the crime in the United States, has been a hotly debated issue in recent years. Although many people feel that gun control violates the right of the people, given in the second amendment "the right to bear arms", controlling distribution and sales and the registration of guns and gun owners is necessary because of the homicide rate involving guns and the violence by criminals using guns. Many people feel that gun control violates the right of the people given in the second amendment the right "to bear arms". Opponents of gun control, including the National Rifle Association, better known as the NRA, argue that the "right To bear arms" is guaranteed in the second amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America and licensing restrictions penalize law-abiding citizens while in no way preventing criminal use of handguns. It is also argued that by making it difficult for guns to be bought and registered for the American public there is a threat to the personal safety of American families everywhere. However controlling the sale and distribution of firearms is necessary because of the homicide rate involving guns. In 1988 there were 9000 handgun related murders in America. Metropolitan centers and some suburban communities of America are setting new records for homicides by handguns. Larger Metropolitan centers have ten times the murder rate of all Western Europe. For example in Washington,D.C. there was an estimated 400 homicides including guns. In addition gun control has been seen as necessary because of the violence…

Some reasons why colleges should look at the laws that they put in place and try to change them. Students should have the right to conceal weapons on college campuses. The guns provide the protection that may be necessary in certain situations. Like the Virginia Tech Shooting, many people could have been saved if only one person had a gun. Having a gun gives a sense of safety to many people on the campus, especially for women with a greater risk of intruders and rapists. For these women, knowing that they have a way to defend themselves can set their minds to ease. Though some believe that the allowance of guns would increase violence on campus, no other college that has allowed concealed firearms has had an issue. Another concerning issue would be that having guns on campus would be easier for students to commit suicide; there are just some things in life that authorities cannot control, and that is one of them. The right to have a concealed weapon on campus should be conveyed freely.…
