Guns and Cons

Do you know that more than 300 million firearms are owned by civilians in the United States? Or did you read about the assault in the movie premiere in Colorado? Don't you think they have already passed the limits? Then, we are on the same page. I am for the idea that gun ownership in United States should be tightly controlled due to some reasons such as; the dangerous and chaotic environment for people, increase of unlicensed gun ownership and increase in rates of young people committing suicide. First of all, letting people make uncontrolled gun purchases creates a dangerous and chaotic environment for other people. In my opinion, people having gun with them are so many that, it is dangerous to wander in public places such as; streets and parks, because when people especially 18 or 19 year old people have guns, anything can happen anytime. If we consider the rate of young people with guns increase every other day, inevitable events occur. For example, at the premiere of "Batman" in Colorado in summer 2012, a 24 year old gunman opened fire on the people in the theater in the middle of the movie and killed 12 people there. In fact, that is when the government started to consider the gun laws, but the issue is still suspended. Secondly, because there is no limit of guns a person can own legally, gun dealers are now as common as drug dealers and this increases the unlicensed gun ownership. I think that, lots of people with uncontrolled number of guns cause so many problems for police departments for the reason that, it is so difficult to identify guns and their owners during a case. For instance, a common type of gun and ammo is difficult to identify in addition, it is easy to purchase it from dealers. Normally, guns are joined together to a license of a person and policemen check the license to find the owner of the gun, but if you purchase it from a dealer, it doesn't join to your license. Therefore, policemen are only able to check the first and the only legal owner of the gun or ammo for their will. Lastly, as long as the government continues letting people make gun purchases of any number, increase in rates of young people committing suicide will continue. We all know that, rates of young people committing suicide is increasing every other day because of some reasons such as; being bullied, relationship problems and being socially isolated. In the past, people were using pills, hanging themselves and applying overdose injections to themselves to commit suicide. However, in these last years with the increase of the gun ownership, they prefer to use guns to kill themselves, maybe it is because of it is instant and painless if they do it right. They don't need to be over 18 year old, people in their house can own and keep them in their house, but if the parents or responsible relatives don't provide the security of the guns so that, they can use it irresponsibly and cause a lot of problems like hurting themselves or others by an accidence or on purpose. To put it briefly, I agree with the idea that government should strictly control the gun ownership in the United States since; there are acceptable reasons such as the ones which are explained above. If the government put an end to this, all the crime and suicide rates will probably decrease back to normal.
