I worked as an engineer intern in five different roles at two Eastman manufacturing locations (Kingsport, TN and Longview, TX). I developed engineering skills while being exposed to a wide range of problems. The nomination was the result of a method I developed to predict market growth for Eastman’s existing product offering. This tool tracks the research efforts of both existing and potential customers and predicts when those customers developed a potential new application for one of our products. The final outcome is a trigger for Eastman Technical Services to reach out to this customer to develop a strategic partnership.
